It's very cute, actually. She's been playing with Pulse for a bit, actually. I think I'm going to name her Aqua...

[ A small moment where he rubs his neck and then recovers ]

[Startled, the Shinx helps before she starts to play back, purring with her tail whipping every which way before she bolts down the hall as fast as she can with Aqua. Race! It's race time!]

[ And they're off!! Terra lets out a small laugh ] S...Sorry about that, I guess they're excited. Sasuke, right?

... Yeah, it is. And you're Terra?

[And while Sasuke is just leaning back, watching the two as the run around.]

Can't be helped. They're both young.

True. I'm sure everyone gets excited like that when they meet others.

[ Terra nods ]

I am. Are you doing alright with all this traveling?

I don't mind it. I'm used to travelling a lot, and there's a pokémon I want at Seafoam Islands anyway.

That's good, that you have a goal. So how long have you been here?

... Since the end of August. [Don't remind him, he still wants to find a way back. He misses his chakra, damn it.]

[ Watching the pokemon, Terra smiles warmly ]

I used to think the same thing. But someone helped me realize that even though I'm strong on my own, I'm stronger when I have something to protect. Someone to come home to.

There is no one to go home to -- or to protect -- for me. My path is one of vengeance.

[ Terra pauses. There isn't anything to gain from arguing with someone. Ven would fuss at him if he tried, even if it was to assist the other. ]

I'm sorry to hear that. One should never have to experience enough pain to be on that path.

There's no changing what happened. I was too weak to act then, and it won't happen again.

I used to think the same thing, but weakness has nothing to do with. Things happen, and sometimes they aren't all good. Either way, you can eventually find the strength you need in yourself and others.

[Inwardly, he's dismissing Terra's advice. He's listening, sure, but it doesn't feel like it's useful to him at all.

He's jolted out of remaining stoic when his own Shinx runs up, jumps and catches onto his shorts before she starts crawling up.] Hey!

[ Terra lets out a laugh before reaching down and scooping up the Shinx, smiling at it gently ]

I don't believe he enjoys having his pants torn.

[The shinx protests as she mews up at Terra, giving her sad eyes and making another mournful cry at him.

Sasuke just sighs and brushes himself off, glancing down at the pokémon in Terra's hand.]

She reminds me of someone I know.

[ Aqua the Shinx comes up and calmly sits, waiting for her playmate to come back down. Placing the one back down, they started to play again ]

I feel the same about mine. Do you have a friend back home that you are reminded of?

... An annoying teammate who doesn't know when to shut his mouth.

[Sigh. Okay, maybe -- MAYBE -- he considers Naruto a friend. Naruto is really the only person he knows of that can empathize with him, on some level, after all...]

Ah. Well, the same goes for me, only less annoyance. [ A soft smile appears on his face for a moment before he attempts to cover it up. ]

[He caught that smile, but he didn't say a word about it and instead just looked down at the two pokémon again.]
